Yitzchok Smilowitz

Yitzchok Smilowitz is a Baltimore-based artist rooted in the world of kumzitz and intimate Jewish song. For him, music is its own emotional language — a way of staying connected to the pure, hopeful, childlike place in the heart that still knows wonder, yearning, love, and trust. Through soft singing and gentle playing, Yitzchok creates space for people to feel held, connected, and free: free to meet joy, longing, doubt, pain, mystery, and comfort together. His music is less about performance and more about presence — letting the heart speak more loudly than the mind, and letting a niggun carry what words alone cannot.
