The Torah tells us כַּבֵּד אֶת־אָבִיךָ וְאֶת־אִמֶּךָ לְמַעַן יַאֲרִכוּן יָמֶיךָ Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened (Shemos 20:12). The Torah clearly teaches us the reward for this Mitzvah is living a long life. In this episode this Passuk comes to life when a child who listens to his mother –without an argument, is rewarded with life. - some parts of this episode may be freighting for young children.

Some might say it was the day America watched as NASA failed to break the barrier between heaven and earth. But rather than concentrate on the disaster itself I look at a dramatic subplot that emerged. A subplot which teaches us a most valuable lesson in סבלנות and to judge others favorably.
