In this eighth and final episode, they are joined by clinical psychologist Dr. Sharon Slater and Deputy Medical Director Avi Marcus. They discuss the mobilization of psychotrauma specialists early on October 7 to guide those in immediate need and then shift their focus to the long-term plan of reaching out to each of the 1,800 volunteers who bravely responded, ensuring they receive the necessary mental health care to prevent PTSD and burnout. They also discuss the deployment of a dedicated psychotrauma team at United Hatzalah's field center in Sde Yoav, which provided a psychotrauma debriefing after each ambulance shift returned to base. This mini-series is dedicated in memory of those who tragically lost their lives on October 7 and in honor of those brave citizens, police officers, firefighters, medical personnel, and soldiers who left the safety of their homes and put their lives in danger to save their fellow Israelis. Together with EMTs Chaim Attias and Shalom Avitan, they helped rescue 2 10-month-old twins from Kfar Aza, as well as treated and transported dozens of victims, saving many lives. Sivan is a real-life wonder woman and hero who rushed into the danger zones to rescue civilians and soldiers who were critically injured during the worst terrorist attack in Israeli history.
