Now currently the Rav of the Agudath Israel of Long Island. Rav Braunstein was a Magid Shiur at Yeshiva Aderes HaTorah (Rav Senter's Yeshiva) in Yerushalayim from 2007 to 2011. In addition, he served as Morah D'Asra of Kehillas Beis Waldman in Arzei Habira, Yerushalayim. He received Smicha from the Rav Av Beis Din of Yerushalayim Hagaon Harav Rav Moshe Sternbuch, shlita. He also did shimush by Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz, shlita, noted Posek. Rav Braunstein studied at the Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim for seven years and developed a very close relationship with Rav Yosef Elephant, shlita, and was chavrusas with two of the Magidei Shiurim of the Mir, Rav Yehuda Wagshall, shlita, and Rav Moshe Aharon Friedman, shlita, for many years. Before joining Yeshiva Aderes Hatorah, Rav Braunstein was a Shoel Umeishiv at the Mir Yeshiva. He was born and raised in Brooklyn. Had I seen him from the front, I would be even more incisive, as it is written: “And your eyes shall see your teacher” (Isaiah 30:20).
