Vayigash: Contradiction Free

Jan 3, 2025

13:42

Explore a profound lesson from the Beis Halevi, based on Yosef’s question, 'Is my father still alive?' Yosef’s words were not merely an inquiry but a rebuke to his brothers for the pain they caused their father. The Beis Halevi teaches that we often justify our actions with excuses, but when we examine them closely, we see how inconsistent they are. This message encourages us to reflect on our actions, strive for integrity, and align our choices with the will of Hashem, free from contradictions and excuses.  Be sure to check out 2 NEW Lechteich podcasts: Footsteps of Greatness:https://24six.app/app/podcast/collection/11397 Lechteich Mussar Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/lechteich-mussar-podcast/id1787746928

At times, our challenges and trials feel as unmovable as Mount Everest, overwhelming us with their seeming permanence. Yet, from the salvation Sarah experienced through the miraculous birth of Yitzchak Avinu, we learn a profound truth: no obstacle is too great for God. Sarah, who thought she was beyond the possibility of bearing a child, discovered that what seems impossible to us is entirely within God’s reach. Her story reminds us that even our greatest struggles are opportunities for divine intervention, and just as God transformed Sarah’s despair into joy, He can shift our own challenges into blessings.

One small act can ignite lasting impact, shaping lives and legacies.

Noach: In Line with the Divine

Nov 1, 2024

14:57

There is a divine order—a 'shura,' or line—in which we are all meant to stand. When we stray from this alignment, as the Dor HaFlaga did, it leads to chaos and ultimately to destruction, as exemplified by the story of the Mabul.

Despite this, the week following Tisha B'Av marks the beginning of the Shiva D'Nechemta, the 'Seven of Consolation.' Explore how these two concepts can coexist.

Jul 12, 2024

14:28

The Cheit Mei Merivah serves as a reminder of how we approach and deal with the 'rocks' in our lives. It teaches us about the importance of faith, patience, and adherence to divine instructions when faced with challenges and obstacles. Just as Moses was instructed to speak to the rock rather than strike it, we are reminded to approach our difficulties with calmness, faith, and trust in a higher power, rather than reacting with frustration or force.

223

Korach: Grand or Not, We Must Grind

Jul 5, 2024

15:20

Moshe’s chastisement of Korach, using the phrase המעט מכם—“Is it too little from you?”—was not a grammatical error but a profound, penetrating statement. It strikes at the core of anyone who doubts the potency of their own avodah. He emphasized that wherever Hashem has placed us, whatever situation we find ourselves in, is ideal. From that very place, we are meant to serve Him.

How Aharon HaKohen reached the state of 'vaydom,' akin to a rock, and how the Sanzer Rav was eager to praise Hashem after burying his son, are aspects we will never fully comprehend. However, the common trait shared by both, which we can all strive to cultivate and enhance in our own bitachon, is their profound realization that they were always cradled by the King.
