Asher Yotzar - The Story It all began when I received a call from a company in Israel describing the need for a song to the text of the ברכת אשר יצר. It seems that after a thorough investigation of the abilities of many young people to recite the words of Asher Yotzar without reading from a printed copy, it was determined that there existed the need for a memory aid in the form of a singable melody on the words of the Brocho. The challenge was to write a melody that would make use of each word in this Brocho only once (as is required when making Brachos). Should this song be written and deemed appropriate for this quest, the company would then proceed to manufacture a device that could be mounted on the wall in the washing areas, that when pressed it would play the pre-recorded version of this new song.
