In this episode, we sit down with Mordche Pinkas, one of the gabbaim of the Shiner Shul, to hear what it actually takes to keep such a major makom Torah and tefillah running day after day. Mordche is a colorful figure who wears a lot of hats. He is a gabbai, an English teacher, a longtime askan, a Rosh Hamadrichim in the summer, and a leader in Lev Layeled’s Monsey branch, an organization that gives children from divorced homes a place of warmth, strength, and connection during some of the hardest parts of their young lives.
