In this week's parsha podcast, we explore R' Nosson's teaching about Yaakov leaving his home and going to Charan to begin the foundations of the Jewish people. Yaakov is a symbol representing the Jewish person in his struggles and strivings to rise to loftier spiritual goals. As he does so, the forces of evil try to stop him. Yet, the Israelite can face off with these formidable foes with the awareness that the spiritual fall is all part of climbing the spiritual ladder.
