Akiva Hammond is one of Jewish music’s fastest-growing young stars, with over one million total streams, high-profile live performances, and a growing presence across concerts, weddings, and simchas. His recent releases continue to gain traction, including ESA EINAI—a collaboration with Dovid Rotberg and Werntatty—which reached 25,000 streams in its first three weeks, and his fan-favorite version of Y’HEY by The Chevra. Based in Lakewood, NJ, and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Akiva’s connection to music began early—grooving to beats as a toddler and briefly picking up guitar in 4th grade. While music was always present, his real journey began at 17 in 2018, when he committed himself fully to learning and creating. He started with piano, returned to guitar, explored live looping, and soon moved into music production. By 2019, Akiva brought that foundation to the stage, beginning to DJ live events, where his ability to read a crowd and build energy quickly became a defining part of his style. Earlier in his career, Akiva gained recognition through official remixes of Waterbury Mesivta’s Welcome Back and Stranger. He later became involved with Chananya Begun’s YTI organization, collaborating with DJ Kraz on Good Vibe and Od Avinu Chai, the latter receiving international support and widespread play.
