Rabbi Elyakim Getzel Rosenblatt studied under Rav Aharon Kotler in Beth Medrash Govoha and Rav Henach Leibowitz in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, and later founded Yeshiva Kesser Torah in Queens. Known for his spirited davening and trademark warmth, Rabbi Rosenblatt was a ploneer in developing American baalet teshuva in recent decades. Through his shiurim, he built his talmidim into Bnei Torah, and he disseminated the hallowed teachings of the mussar giants of yesteryear to a general audience. He was a noted Baal Tefila and when learning in Beth Medrash Govoha in the 1950s, he was the primary Baal Menagen of Rav Aharon Kotler. As a prolific composer of nigunim, Rav Rosenblatt recorded three albums titled Shaar Hanegina with the goal of inspiring joy and warmth to Klal Yisrael through Neginah.
