Now we begin exploring the world of the rasha—usually translated as “the wicked person.” But let’s take a closer look at the higher level of rasha, who, honestly, doesn’t seem wicked at all. He actually sounds like a righteous person. He hardly ever sins, and when he does, it’s something small—and even then, it doesn’t come from his full self. Afterwards, he feels regret, turns to Hashem for forgiveness, and Hashem forgives him. So why is he still called a rasha?
