When students in the freshman Music Production elective wanted to write a song about Israel, they were immediately drawn to the bracha of “V’lirushalayim” found in Shemoneh Esrei. This benediction describes our unwavering desire to return to our homeland and see the Temple restored to its former glory. While this started out as a group project, it developed into a full-class song featuring a significant contribution from other members of the freshman music class.
