Theme: It’s Time to Shake Up the Satan! *Huge Mazal Tov to Mrs. Schapiro for her new grandson born today, Boruch Hashem! *This week’s sicha is sponsored by Hentcha Zavdi in appreciation to Etty & Mrs. Schapiro for helping us stay connected and learn in such a clear, enjoyable, practical way. And as a zchus for Chassidishe, Gezunte and Freiliche children. *and sponsored by Libby Oster לזכות ולרפואה שלימה לאהרן בן חנה בטוב הנראה והנגלה! We should all have a כתיבה וחתימה טובה a שנה טובה ומתוקה! We should all merit to have the גאולה with Moshiach now!! It's time to shake up the Satan! Our attitude is going to make the Satan lose his footing! We are confident that Hashem already gave us a shana tova umetukah! We want to go into Rosh Hashana without the voice of the Satan at all! Some customs we do to mix up the Satan: NOT speaking about Rosh Chodesh in the Tefillos of Rosh Hashana, by NOT blowing shofar erev RH, by not bentching the chodesh on Shabbos Mevorchim, we dont start Shabbos Bereishis until after Simchas Torah, plus blowing shofar all Elul confuses the Satan, we blow numerous times throughout RH so even that throws the Satan off. This idea seems silly. The Satan is no fool. He’s been around every year. This idea is not to confuse him WHEN Rosh Hashana is, its deeper: We will fool him with our approach, our attitude that we take this Rosh Hashana! CONFIDENT stand! We go into Rosh Hashana fully confident we are already sealed for a Shana Tova Umesuka! Tremendous Hisorerus from deep within me. I dont want the Satan in my life anymore, this deep inner shofar voice can push me in a way other things cannot Know that sometimes there are things we CAN do to connect to Hashem bsimcha, and sometimes there are things we CANNOT do - this also connects us to Hashem, bsimcha! Shana Tova Umesukah with true open revealed brachos with Moshiach! Erev Rosh Hashana, 29 Elul, Chelek Chof Daled, page 222

180. Ki Savo: Its Cancel Golus Time!
180. Ki Savo: Its Cancel Golus Time!
Sep 20, 2024
34:06
This Sicha teaches us: 1) How to look at Golus 2) How to look at our INNER Golus = yetzer Horah and 3) how to view the challenges we face with the opposing nations of the world. Parshas Ki Savo has tough klalim in the Parsha and they were not just warnings, but actually a nevuah. WIth golus, we have gone through each of these things. Yet at the same time everything Hashem does is for the good of the Yidden. We don’t want it, but we also cant fully grasp the greatness that comes from it. The Rebbe compares 2 statements on things Hashem created and wishes to cancel. Talmud Bavli: there are 4 that Hashem regrets that he created them (1 statement) Golus, Kasdim, Yishamelim and Yetzer Horah Talmud Yerushalmyi:There were 3 that Hashem created, and then He wonders/regrets why He created them (2 statements) Kasdim, Yishamelim and Yetzer Horah The Bavli goes straight for the negative, bad parts of each of these 4 - lets get rid of them. It lists Golus first - this sets the tone for the rest. The Yerushalmy - mentions both positive and negative. Everything has a spark of goodness, but also can have a negative side to it - its cover, that masks its essence. The Yerushalmy recognizes the potential in the future when Moshiach comes. The Bavli is whats happening right now in the present. Golus stinks, it needs to be canceled. The Yerushalmy is when the lights are turned on (Moshiach vision), in the ultimate purest shape - there is actually good there too. Practically: Always remember Golus is something Hashem regrets. Its NOT the real way we are supposed to be. DONT get comfortable here! But also, dont get dragged down by it, its not a real thing because its not eternal. What is our message to the nations of the world who oppress us? They are not real! Their opposition is nothingness! We must address them with STRENGTH and no fear. Speak the truth to them! When we act this way we bring out the Moshiach vision where their only value will be FOR our good. Torah is eternal. It lights up all the things and shows us their true form. Clarity! When a yid stands with internal strength - THIS is my inheritance! I dont bow and I dont cower! This is the Moshiach reality. Chai Elul we celebrate the 2 great lights who gave us Chassidus. Lets shed LIGHT on our yetzer horah, activate it for all its good parts! Shed light on the nations of the world → Their purpose is to hear our strong and loud voices! They will get to honoring and appreciating the yidden! All the bad stuff will be gone, its nothing! Let’s shed light today and bring this world to its Moshiach reality!

"Things are always changing, time, life, goals. The reality of Hashem is eternal. Yidden are compared to the Day - Sun, Moon & Stars = father, mother and children. Each one of us is part of a bigger unit. The sun is consistent, the moon is always changing & new - the "Day" combines both maalos. We have a neshama, a spark of Moshiach inside of us, and we can live Geulah with the "SAME NEW" (Likkutei Sichos Lamed Tes, page 1)

The inherent ability to do it for Hashem. Thank you to our 2 sponsors - you help us spread these sichos out far & wide! In honor of: Refuah Sheleima for Yisroel Reuven ben Shmeula, smooth & immediate! Happy Birthday to Adina Landa! May it be a shnas hatzlacha, bracha & a year of JOY! Think: Scenario 1: You are doing Avodah out of your comfort zone Scenario 2: Your Avodah also has amazing side benefits, not even for idealistic reasons - you love it, or alternative motivating factors. Very famous Sicha about Akeidas Yitzchak: 10th Test. Kach Na Es Bincha. Hashem says to Avraham: Please take your son. I have tested you with a number of tests and you have passed them all, You have stood through all of them, now stand through this test, so that the others won’t be canceled out. Q. Why would not passing the akeida cancel out all the other amazing tests Avraham surpassed?! Additional Q. The story of the Akeida is our biggest zchus, ultimate peak of our relationship, we mention it every day of davening. Why? What is it about this specific story? We have thousands of examples of crazy mesiras nefesh! Personal mesiras nefesh vs mesiras nefesh with our child. But we have seen this many times! Avraham created the tzinor of mesiras nefesh. The pathway for all of this to be capable. But this is NOT the first Mesiras Nefesh! Avraham did this when he was thrown into the fire publicly for declaring Hashems existence. Still - what is so unique about Akeidas Yitzchak? What is the Torah Definition of Mesiras Nefesh? To be able to give yourself over to Hashem. To put aside your entire metziyos and do it for Hashem. Its not about being so passionate that you are ready to give your life up, its about being fully Hashem focused, even when it means pushing me aside. Akeida - nothing in it for Avraham Avinu Step: 1) its not public, no public applause 2) Avrahams vision will be totally uprooted, this child wont be able to continue the vision 3) not his personality, he is a man of Chessed/Kindness This is the opposite of SELF benefit! The ONLY thing Pushing him to do the Akeida, is that Hashem asked him to do it. Until now, it could all be viewed as a personal agenda Once you do the Akeida, it proves that all the tests were Hashem’s agenda, not a personal gain Today, we stand with the ability to do Hashem’s agenda, even if it's different from what I want. I have the ability to do what Hashem wants me to do, every Yid is inherently able to give themselves over to What Is Hashems Plan For Me. Ois Ches: This is the explanation of why the Akeida is specifically the Opening this Channel, vs Ur Kasdim. Avraham was able to give to us the TRUE definition of Mesiras Nefesh, we are here to do what Hashem wants us to do. We can be free of ourselves. Desire of every Jew is to do what Hashem wants us to do. So actually, this is truly what MY desire IS. TO do what Hashem wants me to do. Truly what I want. When a Yid does something for Hashem, it could seem its self-centered, but because he is a descendant of Avraham - now the real truth is it is REALLY mesiras nefesh, its truly for Hashem. Higher than any calculation, just like the Akeida. Side cheshbonos, they are not front and center REAL reason is FOR Hashem! Story: Side motivations: a million vs the nickel. The side stuff is the nickel. The million dollar win is that you are doing what Hashem wants you to do! Alter Rebbe brings a halacha in shulchan aruch, its a good thing to say parshas akeida every day. When you read the akeida it empowers you to serve Hashem, just like Yitzchak’s moment of being given over. Once Avraham opened up the channel for REAL mesiras nefesh, my real desire is to go beyond myself. Any of us who are the children of Avraham, we have it because we are their children. Its part of our innate DNA. Its a Avraham moment. A yitzchak moment. Any situation that you find yourself in, Its your Akeida moment. You have the ability to be beyond yourself. To be truly and completely given over to Hashem. There may be something in my mind that is not my vision, and its what Hashem puts for me, maybe it doesnt even fit my personality. I have the ability to do it for Hashem. What about all the superficial moments where I do gain? Don’t get stuck there, the real reality is you are the child of Avraham - and it IS for the real reasons! What we REALLY want is that Moshiach should come! When we get sidetracked, bring ourselves back to the focus! Parshas Vayera, Chelek Chof, page 73.

135. Mikeitz Chanukah Worth Fighting For
Dec 22, 2024
26:07
135. Mikeitz/Chanukah: Fight for Peace The message of Chanukah is that some things are worth fighting for. When dark forces, within our homes or without, threaten to overwhelm us, we need to fight for peace. The Macabees showed us how to sacrifice everything and connect to the yechida in our soul, where true peace prevails and leaves no room for opposition. Each Shabbos, our candles symbolize the same. The small flame of a 3 year old girl does much to replace darkness with joy, respite, and peace. Imagine that all the the flames of our Shabbos and Chanukah lights come together. They would burst into a great big bonfire to overcome all darkness and usher in the final days of “no hunger or war, no competition or jealousy.” Likkutei Sichos, Chelek Tes vov. Pg 372

Sicha said on the original Hey Teves! Parshas Vayigash, Sicha said by the Rebbe on the original Hey Teves. Yaakov, Yosef, Egla Arufa & the message from the break in the Aliyah: Yaakov did not see Hashem's hand in the time that Yosef was gone from him, while Yosef saw the purpose from it even during the journey. a) When we end up going into a difficult situation, on the one hand we need to remain strong and not give in, 2) even more than that, transform it into Hashem's place. Interesting that by Hey Teves the Rebbe wanted to regular courts to determine the ruling. The Rebbe uplifts us and empowers us to transform a place into holiness. Even when going through a difficult, he'elem situation, a) we can find the ability within ourself! b) the Rebbe empowers us to transform it completely. Because even if we can't do it on our own, through our connection to the Yosef/Nasi - we can do it. Through our connection to the nasi, we can have the nasi's vision! Likkutei Sichos Chelek lamed vov. Pg 1. Parshas Shemos, Topic Bitachon: "In this week's Parsha we see that after Moshe kills the mitzri he sees 2 yidden fighting and he becomes fearful and then Pharoah hears about this incident and Moshe runs away. Moshes emotions don’t seem necessary to the story line. Torah is purposefully teaching us something by telling us Moshes emotions. (Midrash brings other examples of Yaakov and Moshe feeling fear - even with direct promises from Hashem that things would be OK). Analyze: what is the bitachon level we are expected to have? a) trust that Hashem WILL do it, not just could do it. -->feel serene, calm. Challenge: what if i don’t deserve it? ie schar v’onesh b) Method 1: Hashem runs the world. All Hashem does is for the good ""gam zu l'tova"" I can be comfortable with whatever happens because it’s from Hashem. The Rebbe says, NO thats not enough! Torah expects more from us --> c) Method 2: Expect & assume that Hashem will do ""Tov HaNireh V'Haniglah"". Hashem WILL save me from my tzarah. Challenge: Im not a tzadik! ""Tracht Gut Vet Zein Gut"" the actual tracht gut is what brings the gut! We are obligated to tracht gut! Actively place myself to rely on Hashem! Bitachon is NOT Emunah. Emunah = Hashem is infinite and kind and all capable. Bitachon = an active stance/avodah that Im taking, and THIS avodah itself makes me worthy to receive the ""Tov HaNireh V'Haniglah"" Bitachon itself causes the yeshua from Hashem. Back to the Moshe story - Moshe verbalized his negative thoughts, the Rebbe says: don’t underestimate the power of our words. Verbalize positivity! When faced with an obstacle, work on your bitachon! Hashem will be able to help you and it will be good. Of course, you must also put dira btachtonim efforts – but we have been promised Tracht Gut Vet Zein Gut! – for real!"

Some notes: 2 Jews are 2 hands in 1 body. Clarity of Eretz Yisrael= True Unity. Today is 22 Shvat, Rabbi Binyamin Klein received a call from Eretz Yisrael. Urgent. Needed something from the Rebbe. He called the Rebbe personal phone number. Rabbi Klein felt bad for disturbing them. Rebbetzin answer "this is what we are here for" How do we get out of golus? Learning halacha, take responsibility for your fellow Yid who is in this choking situation, to the extent that it becomes your pleasure 2 partners want to make a wall, as partners. Focus on the UNITY that will be revealed a. For sure between each other, hidden and b. And in our relationship with Hashem We go into Hashem bank account and pull our the supplies we need to overcome the negativity of the golus This darkness is so powerful we are choking from it The halacha is that Hashem can kick in as the guarantor! Place of chessed not place of din. When we are in golus perspective, it feels not so simple to get Hashem on board. Need to make it happen But when we learn the yerushalmy - clear light, clear perspective, then we know the partnership of hashem and yidden is clear. We just need to let Hashem know we are in pain. Let Hashem know about the pain of golus and say to Hashem "ad mosai!" Just Hashem seeing a Yid in this moment of pain and Ad Mosai - Hashem will take responsibility for his beloved nation. Hashem will build us the 3rd Beis Hamikdash! Chelek Chof Vov pg 145

Faigy Katz, in honor of her upcoming birthday Yud Adar, may this be a shnas bracha & hatzlacha! Esther Weiner, in the zchus that all the hostages and Jewish soldiers should come home with Moshiach NOW! Ganesha Chaikin In honor of Levi Yitzchok Chaikins birthday, he should bring his parents, bubby and Zaidy and the Rebbe a lot of nachas! By a group of friends Liiluy Nishmas our dear friend Sara Goldberg on her third yartzheit Chaya Sara Malka bas Reuven Yehuda, who lived and loved and breathed chassidus and worked on her bitachon through it all! May her children and family experience much nechama and brocha! Areas when I think “Why is this happening to me?” “Why did I get myself into this mess?” Lessons from Rashi & The Bigdei Kehuna …Everything is there to teach you in avodas hashem, but in this case, Rashi got into a more messy situation! Rashi was in a situation that he wished hadn’t happened! What do I do with something like this that I can still bring this into my Avodas Hashem? It takes your heart. Your yechida rests in your heart. No experience in the world can blacken the yechida. Even those things that seem to be opposite of the Torah! To be able to take a negative experience and transform it - this power you get from your heart! Only with your heart, your yechida, can you go through a situation where you see something or experience something that you really did not want to. And then you can find the powerful light within the darkness - here it gave Rashi understanding of the Kohen’s Clothing, the Eifod! “Why do i have to have this shmutz in my life?!” Everything is from Hashem You have to be bothered by it, it’s healthy! This experience will push you to a place that brings honor to Hashem! A moment that feels painful - what’s the purpose of this mess? Everything is for a purpose! Listen to your yechida, and find a space that you can elevate & honor Hashem - and ultimately see the light that comes out from this golus, with Moshiach! Chelek Chof Vov page 191

107. Ki Sisa - Broken Luchos, Whole Self
Mar 12, 2025
20:24
Ki Sisa, Chelek Chof Vov, page 248 Whats good about being broken? Moshe broke the Luchos and Hashem said "yasher koach!" Hashem agreed with Moshe and praised him. The yidden served the eigel, Moshe saved the honor of the Torah, etc - this could make sense, but the Rebbe says - no! Its not enough! Moshe could have just hid the luchos (toss into the ocean :)) - why specifically break them? There is something praiseworthy of broken luchos. We see that Moshe was sad about it and Hashem comforted him - the second set of luchos came along with Torah She'baal Peh too! With more, expansion! The 2nd set was an upgrade! And Moshe was praised after the 2nd set was given. The broken luchos made space for something bigger. Breaking the luchos in front of the yidden, broke us open allowing us to be open to Hashem, open to a bigger, better, expanded future. So is being broken the way to go? NO! The secret of the luchos 1 & 2 - broken & whole - is where they were kept - together, in the Aron! The Aron had measurements, yet took no space - the holding of 2 opposites together. Just like we should bring the 2 opposites of broken luchos & whole luchos together. We each have an aron in our hearts and are empowered to live with these 2 aspects together: broken, allowing the space for Hashem in, and whole - being myself fully invested with all my strengths and full self (not a robot). And from the broken moments, we can grow and double and redouble accomplishments! "Why does Hashem break us?" We should have Moshiach NOW and then we can see the greatness of the journey!

"Empowering & beautiful sicha! Chinuch for ourselves ~ how do we view ourselves? How do we view others? Through a conversation with the Tzemach Tzedek & the Alter Rebbe, our Rebbe highlights an integral message Torah is telling us - Adam is written with a big Alef, even after the ""Chait Eitz Hadaas"" - because of his G-d given incredible greatness, essential to him, unmarred by his mistakes. In Vayikra, the alef is written in small - telling us of Moshes humility. Moshe KNEW of his greatness - did not let it ""get to his head"" and he seeked to compare himself to others, and note of their greatness. This is not just a simple piece, its a direct Chinuch Answer from A""R to T""T ~ and a DIRECTION for each of us! (Adam in Us) We must have an honest awareness of our essential greatness! We are a piece of Hashem! We must know our abilities and inherent greatness, regardless of our mistakes or our past. (Moshe in Us) And yet, we must understand that greatness can be a ""trip up"". We remain humble and understand the bigger picture, being able to make proper choices in life. #1 Ingrain in yourself that your talent is a GIFT, I didnt make it, I only choose what to DO with it. and #2: Seek out the greatness in others! Get to know how incredible you are and then tap into it! Right now - you have the big Alef ~ you can rise above! you can accomplish! Regardless of my previous habits, past, etc. And look at others and realize, if someone else had these gifts, they could use it better. Look at others & seek out their greatness, talent and beauty!" 210. Acharon Shel Pesach Geulah Times!
Apr 18, 2025
34:20
As we go into the final days of Pesach, the Geulah days, we dive into Rambams approach to the coming of Moshiach being "within nature". The Rambam explains that the core of Geulah is a natural world in which every Jew can fully live in alignment with Torah & mitzvos, deeply connected to Hashem. The Rebbe explains this as 2 stages of Moshiach. 1st stage - natural, 2nd stage - all the "extras" miracles! Miracles are not the essence, they are add ons, expressions of our incredible closeness with Hashem. (think wedding - covid times, we got the "essence" of the weddings - the bride, groom, and chuppah, vs regular times - with all add ons, dont lose sight of the essence). In the two stages of Geulah, the first is a natural reality where Moshiach empowers us to connect to Hashem in this world, and the second is a miraculous enhancement. But if we are zoche, if we live as our best selves today, those miracles can begin immediately. The Rebbe empowers us to believe in our own greatness and to break past our limits—this is really a miracle! Transcending nature. Through this, we will merit to see the full revelation of Moshiach and Hashem’s open miracles, beginning now. Chelek Chof Zayin pg 191

Join our farbrengen! This past Chof Beis Shvat Fruma Schapiro & Etty Schwartz hosted a Farbrengen late Motzei Shabbos at the Kinus. With permission, it was recorded. Obviously totally different than our weekly sichos, this farbrengen centered around the impact of learning the Rebbe's Chassidus regularly - the slow "drip, drip, drip" that shifts your mindset, heart, and ultimately - life - from the inside out. Mrs. Schapiro broke down 4 main ideas from the Rebbe & centered the Farbrengen around these: * never give up *it's all there already, just needs to be revealed, not created *being joyous is not optional and it's not for you. Its for Hashem. (chof beis shvat, nun beis) *Ahavas Hashem is Ahavas Yisroel Join the Weekly Chassidus Whatsapp Community: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JRYOAZ9tWIHLInCHjst8m0 Any thoughts to share? 57. Emor: Highlight Zchusim, Shlomis bas Divri

Parshas Emor, Likkutei Sichos lamed zayin, page 67 This sicha dives into Torah's mention of Shlomis bas Divri and her illicit relationship with an Egyptian man. Rashi tells us this is mentioned to praise the yidden that this was the only time this happened, and that there were no arayos within the yidden at this time. But still, why would Torah use this negative instance to highlight a positive praise of the yidden? This can be compared to someone doing true teshuva - a past negative now becomes like a merit. Something negative can happen but when that is a growth point, a springboard for positive growth & action, then the negative thing takes on positive purpose. In todays time this is a way that we can even elevate shalosh klipas hatamayus. If a person does such great teshuva that his past actions become now true zchusim, then this elevates the past klipah. There is no such thing as a lost case. We are in golus, people make mistakes, so then what? We dont give up, we use it a springboard for teshuva, and this uplifts the past. Looking back, there is purpose for the difficult or negative things someone may end up involved in - moving forward, we use it to grow even closer to Hashem, even more kedusha. And when we look at someone else, we dont write them off, our job is to highlight the good, take that persons negative story and highlight the zchusim in it.

“The basis of chinuch is that all the child’s needs are being met - physical, emotional, spiritual.” “Educating children and influencing others brings you personal redemption." This sicha spoke about "pintele yid chinuch" A comment from when we first discussed it " i was listening to the part abt holding high standards like the kohen even when the child doesn’t understand and doesn’t want that. Today one of my students shared a story abt the group that was brought after the Chernobyl disaster to kfar Chabad. The organizers were concerned abt a huge group of girls that came with their own clothing. Should they have standards of tznius? The Rebbe answered that the standard should be high to the level of the community. But they should buy the girls really nice clothing. Thought that was a nice example of this type of chinuch. Going for the high standard but making it something that works for this child."
