272. VaEschanan: Forget...To Connect

Jul 21, 2026

34:16

Chelek Lamed Daled pg 24. The Torah warns us not to forget what we've learned, yet if someone forgets because circumstances genuinely prevented them from reviewing, it isn't considered "forgetting" at all. Why? Because they never let go of the Torah - the Torah remained their priority. Sometimes, what looks like stepping away is actually the deepest expression of connection. Reb Zeira intentionally forgot the Talmud Bavli he had learned so he could fully absorb the Talmud Yerushalmy. Moshe broke the Luchos to preserve the Torah forever. In both cases, a temporary "loss" became the foundation for something far greater. What does Hashem want from me? Am i aligning myself with Torah as my life force? Use that as the guiding force. Am I stepping away ("forgetting") because I'm disconnecting, or because, for this moment, this is what Hashem wants from me? Sometimes moving away from something might be the strongest expression of connection. This Week's Sicha Learning is in Honor of: *An anonymous listener, in honor of her birthday on 6 Av, with brachos for herself and her family in all areas. * Chaya Bunia bas Leah Frieda, whose birthday is on Tishah B'Av, wishing you a shnas bracha v'hatzlacha! *Rochel Kaplan - l'ilui nishmas her father, Yehuda Leib ben Peretz Mochkin, whose yahrtzeit is on Tishah B'Av. In the zechus of his extraordinary mesiras nefesh in Czarist Russia, where he helped hundreds of families escape to freedom with forged papers on the last possible transport. May the zechus of this learning bring the ultimate redemption for all of Klal Yisrael, me'avdus l'cheirus, with the coming of Moshiach now. And a heartfelt Mazal Tov to Mrs. Schapiro as we celebrate just one week until her family's upcoming chasunah! May it be a time of abundant brachos and simchos.

202. Mishpatim Release Golus Chokehold with Unity

Feb 20, 2025

26:41

Some notes: 2 Jews are 2 hands in 1 body. Clarity of Eretz Yisrael= True Unity. Today is 22 Shvat, Rabbi Binyamin Klein received a call from Eretz Yisrael. Urgent. Needed something from the Rebbe. He called the Rebbe personal phone number. Rabbi Klein felt bad for disturbing them. Rebbetzin answer "this is what we are here for" How do we get out of golus? Learning halacha, take responsibility for your fellow Yid who is in this choking situation, to the extent that it becomes your pleasure 2 partners want to make a wall, as partners. Focus on the UNITY that will be revealed a. For sure between each other, hidden and b. And in our relationship with Hashem We go into Hashem bank account and pull our the supplies we need to overcome the negativity of the golus This darkness is so powerful we are choking from it The halacha is that Hashem can kick in as the guarantor! Place of chessed not place of din. When we are in golus perspective, it feels not so simple to get Hashem on board. Need to make it happen But when we learn the yerushalmy - clear light, clear perspective, then we know the partnership of hashem and yidden is clear. We just need to let Hashem know we are in pain. Let Hashem know about the pain of golus and say to Hashem "ad mosai!" Just Hashem seeing a Yid in this moment of pain and Ad Mosai - Hashem will take responsibility for his beloved nation. Hashem will build us the 3rd Beis Hamikdash! Chelek Chof Vov pg 145

May her children and family experience much nechama and brocha! Areas when I think “Why is this happening to me?” “Why did I get myself into this mess?” Lessons from Rashi & The Bigdei Kehuna …Everything is there to teach you in avodas hashem, but in this case, Rashi got into a more messy situation! Rashi was in a situation that he wished hadn’t happened! What do I do with something like this that I can still bring this into my Avodas Hashem? It takes your heart. Your yechida rests in your heart. No experience in the world can blacken the yechida. Even those things that seem to be opposite of the Torah! To be able to take a negative experience and transform it - this power you get from your heart! Only with your heart, your yechida, can you go through a situation where you see something or experience something that you really did not want to. And then you can find the powerful light within the darkness - here it gave Rashi understanding of the Kohen’s Clothing, the Eifod! “Why do i have to have this shmutz in my life?!” Everything is from Hashem You have to be bothered by it, it’s healthy! This experience will push you to a place that brings honor to Hashem! A moment that feels painful - what’s the purpose of this mess? Everything is for a purpose! Listen to your yechida, and find a space that you can elevate & honor Hashem - and ultimately see the light that comes out from this golus, with Moshiach! Chelek Chof Vov page 191

107. Ki Sisa - Broken Luchos, Whole Self

Mar 12, 2025

20:24

Ki Sisa, Chelek Chof Vov, page 248 Whats good about being broken? Moshe broke the Luchos and Hashem said "yasher koach!" Hashem agreed with Moshe and praised him. The yidden served the eigel, Moshe saved the honor of the Torah, etc - this could make sense, but the Rebbe says - no! Its not enough! Moshe could have just hid the luchos (toss into the ocean :)) - why specifically break them? There is something praiseworthy of broken luchos. We see that Moshe was sad about it and Hashem comforted him - the second set of luchos came along with Torah She'baal Peh too! With more, expansion! The 2nd set was an upgrade! And Moshe was praised after the 2nd set was given. The broken luchos made space for something bigger. Breaking the luchos in front of the yidden, broke us open allowing us to be open to Hashem, open to a bigger, better, expanded future. So is being broken the way to go? NO! The secret of the luchos 1 & 2 - broken & whole - is where they were kept - together, in the Aron! The Aron had measurements, yet took no space - the holding of 2 opposites together. Just like we should bring the 2 opposites of broken luchos & whole luchos together. We each have an aron in our hearts and are empowered to live with these 2 aspects together: broken, allowing the space for Hashem in, and whole - being myself fully invested with all my strengths and full self (not a robot). And from the broken moments, we can grow and double and redouble accomplishments! "Why does Hashem break us?" We should have Moshiach NOW and then we can see the greatness of the journey!

50. Vayikra: Humility & Greatness

Mar 31, 2025

25:45

"Empowering & beautiful sicha! Chinuch for ourselves ~ how do we view ourselves? How do we view others? Through a conversation with the Tzemach Tzedek & the Alter Rebbe, our Rebbe highlights an integral message Torah is telling us - Adam is written with a big Alef, even after the ""Chait Eitz Hadaas"" - because of his G-d given incredible greatness, essential to him, unmarred by his mistakes. In Vayikra, the alef is written in small - telling us of Moshes humility. Moshe KNEW of his greatness - did not let it ""get to his head"" and he seeked to compare himself to others, and note of their greatness. This is not just a simple piece, its a direct Chinuch Answer from A""R to T""T ~ and a DIRECTION for each of us! (Adam in Us) We must have an honest awareness of our essential greatness! We are a piece of Hashem! We must know our abilities and inherent greatness, regardless of our mistakes or our past. (Moshe in Us) And yet, we must understand that greatness can be a ""trip up"". We remain humble and understand the bigger picture, being able to make proper choices in life. #1 Ingrain in yourself that your talent is a GIFT, I didnt make it, I only choose what to DO with it. and #2: Seek out the greatness in others! Get to know how incredible you are and then tap into it! Right now - you have the big Alef ~ you can rise above! you can accomplish! Regardless of my previous habits, past, etc. And look at others and realize, if someone else had these gifts, they could use it better. Look at others & seek out their greatness, talent and beauty!" 210. Acharon Shel Pesach Geulah Times!

Apr 18, 2025

34:20

As we go into the final days of Pesach, the Geulah days, we dive into Rambams approach to the coming of Moshiach being "within nature". The Rambam explains that the core of Geulah is a natural world in which every Jew can fully live in alignment with Torah & mitzvos, deeply connected to Hashem. The Rebbe explains this as 2 stages of Moshiach. 1st stage - natural, 2nd stage - all the "extras" miracles! Miracles are not the essence, they are add ons, expressions of our incredible closeness with Hashem. (think wedding - covid times, we got the "essence" of the weddings - the bride, groom, and chuppah, vs regular times - with all add ons, dont lose sight of the essence). In the two stages of Geulah, the first is a natural reality where Moshiach empowers us to connect to Hashem in this world, and the second is a miraculous enhancement. But if we are zoche, if we live as our best selves today, those miracles can begin immediately. The Rebbe empowers us to believe in our own greatness and to break past our limits—this is really a miracle! Transcending nature. Through this, we will merit to see the full revelation of Moshiach and Hashem’s open miracles, beginning now. Chelek Chof Zayin pg 191

Join our farbrengen! This past Chof Beis Shvat Fruma Schapiro & Etty Schwartz hosted a Farbrengen late Motzei Shabbos at the Kinus. With permission, it was recorded. Obviously totally different than our weekly sichos, this farbrengen centered around the impact of learning the Rebbe's Chassidus regularly - the slow "drip, drip, drip" that shifts your mindset, heart, and ultimately - life - from the inside out. Mrs. Schapiro broke down 4 main ideas from the Rebbe & centered the Farbrengen around these: * never give up *it's all there already, just needs to be revealed, not created *being joyous is not optional and it's not for you. Its for Hashem. (chof beis shvat, nun beis) *Ahavas Hashem is Ahavas Yisroel Join the Weekly Chassidus Whatsapp Community: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JRYOAZ9tWIHLInCHjst8m0 Any thoughts to share? 57. Emor: Highlight Zchusim, Shlomis bas Divri

May 13, 2025

26:56

Parshas Emor, Likkutei Sichos lamed zayin, page 67 This sicha dives into Torah's mention of Shlomis bas Divri and her illicit relationship with an Egyptian man. Rashi tells us this is mentioned to praise the yidden that this was the only time this happened, and that there were no arayos within the yidden at this time. But still, why would Torah use this negative instance to highlight a positive praise of the yidden? This can be compared to someone doing true teshuva - a past negative now becomes like a merit. Something negative can happen but when that is a growth point, a springboard for positive growth & action, then the negative thing takes on positive purpose. In todays time this is a way that we can even elevate shalosh klipas hatamayus. If a person does such great teshuva that his past actions become now true zchusim, then this elevates the past klipah. There is no such thing as a lost case. We are in golus, people make mistakes, so then what? We dont give up, we use it a springboard for teshuva, and this uplifts the past. Looking back, there is purpose for the difficult or negative things someone may end up involved in - moving forward, we use it to grow even closer to Hashem, even more kedusha. And when we look at someone else, we dont write them off, our job is to highlight the good, take that persons negative story and highlight the zchusim in it.

8. Emor: Pintele Yid Chinuch

May 14, 2025

37:58

“The basis of chinuch is that all the child’s needs are being met - physical, emotional, spiritual.” “Educating children and influencing others brings you personal redemption." This sicha spoke about "pintele yid chinuch" A comment from when we first discussed it " i was listening to the part abt holding high standards like the kohen even when the child doesn’t understand and doesn’t want that. Today one of my students shared a story abt the group that was brought after the Chernobyl disaster to kfar Chabad. The organizers were concerned abt a huge group of girls that came with their own clothing. Should they have standards of tznius? The Rebbe answered that the standard should be high to the level of the community. But they should buy the girls really nice clothing. Thought that was a nice example of this type of chinuch. Going for the high standard but making it something that works for this child."

This week's learning is sponsored by a listener in honor of the Hayom Yom of 9 Tammuz : "All Jewish parents who need to have a special salvation and help for their children, the surest way is to support Torah learners." May we all experience true yiddishe nachas! And this week's learning is in honor of the holy Head Shliach of Florida, Rabbi Avremel Korf, who passed away Monday Night on Yud Beis Tammuz. A shliach who turned swamp land into a vibrant Jewish State. As I heard in a story he said "I am the Rebbes representative in Florida. And as the Rebbe's shliach, I must welcome and accept every Jew with sever panim yafos". This feels apropros to this weeks sicha. Chelek Chof Ches pg 149. Perspective on the players in my life is the key to gratitude. - put my energy into "what is Hashem telling me here" - this person has no power - this all happened for me, to put me on a mission, to bring to me to do something bigger - "a yid never makes me uncomfortable!" - be rid of the 'sin' not the person who did it - if shalosh klipos tamayos: if enemy is no longer needed, he'll disappear - i work for Hashem - what does Hashem want from me in this experience?

Jul 23, 2025

37:04

"Sicha #174: *Parshas Matos-Maasei,* Chelek Chof Gimmul page 214. My body's experience and ability is the deepest expression of Hashem’s power. Menachem Av - We bring our father comfort. This week's learning sponsored by 3 individuals! *Chaya Musha bas Devorah Leah* & *Henna Shomer* both in honor of their Yom Huledes - May this learning be a zchus for a shnas bracha, ad bli dai!!* Thank you for choosing these sichos as your birthday gift! Learning sponsored also by *Susan Shapiro* in honor of the yahrtzeit of her mother (my Safta!) *Basya bas Nessa*. May her neshama have an aliyah and endless nachas! Want to get in on sponsoring? PM me! *Sicha Summary Notes* Ever had a moment where you were really *stuck* in your own challenge? In this month of Menachem Av, we comfort Hashem for the pain He is in. There are 2 dimensions of Hashem’s pain of being in golus 1. *Shchina is with the yidden in Golus.* When we experience our Geulah it is Hashem’s Geulah. Our neshamos are always Godly, no choice there, but our bodies - that dont reflect godliness, those Hashem chose! When we are physically (body) in golus, so is Hashem. 2. Like a king who said to his servants, if you are looking for me, *I am going to be next to my son.* What is deeper about this that is being added? Differentiation! Jewish Mothers - *we get it!* Where my kid is, that's where Ill be. *2 different situations* The father feels obvious cherishing of the child, bringing nachas! Warm fuzzy feeling, my delicious child, i'm with them! - neshama part of the yid, *nachas producer* , neshama is never affected by the golus Rebbe adding! This is also true when it comes to the body. The body does NOT show Hashem. It looks just as coarse as other bodies. Mashal - if you are looking for me, I am going to be with my son. Ya this is my kid, i go with him everywhere he is at. *Hashem is with us in our tumah* . *Essential connection* Only in the Jewish Body (vs soul) do you see the connection of Hashems essence. I'm with my kid. Period. Hashem is ALWAYS with us. Menachem Av - Hashem is here as the father to his child. Level 1 nachas connection - *neshama experience* Level 2 essential connection - *body experience* Taking this even deeper... We also suffer loss, How can we comfort Hashem? The greatness of what the child can do > parents Like a blue eyed child born from brown eyed parents, the child reveals a recessive gene his parents have, but did not display. You have incredible power! Show up with all the emunah, all the positivity - WOW! This was always there in Hashem but not expressed until a Yid does this. We have the ability through our physical struggles, we are bringing out a koiach always there in Hashem - that had not yet been brought out. *All of us showing up in Mitzvos, Torah, we are bringing out Hashems “recessive DNA”. there is no such thing as a ME struggle - don't ever feel alone, you are Hashems essence being expressed*. Feel empowered! We can define the golus, tap into incredible koiach, Hashems essence pumping through us. Shift to new approach: Moshiach!"

237. Noach: Daven, Dont Give Up on Anyone!

Oct 24, 2025

32:08

Chelek Chof Hey, page 19: Dont give up on anyone This sicha learning is in zchus of a Refuah Sheleima for Levi HaLevi ben Leah! In this week’s sicha the Rebbe explores why Noach didn’t daven for his generation as Moshe later did. Reb Yehuda explains that this wasn’t Noach’s fault, he simply lived before the Avos, whose merit empowered Moshe’s prayers. Reb Yitzchak, however, argues that even without those merits, Noach still should have prayed for others; somehow, he could have found a way to arouse mercy for his generation. Reb Levik explains that these two views reflect their inner traits: Reb Yehuda’s chessed versus Reb Yitzchak’s gevurah. We know dan l’kaf zechus- judging others favorably - isn’t only for those with a kind nature; it’s a rule for every Jew, no matter their temperament. The discussion parallels Rashi’s comment on “Noach ish tzadik bedorosav” - was Noach righteous only in his generation or would he have been even greater among true tzadikim? If the Torah prefers positive language, why mention a possible negative? The Rebbe explains that when Torah describes a person, it always uses positive language, but when it teaches a lesson, clarity takes priority - even if it sounds critical. Guidelines must be clear. Here the Torah isn’t telling us biographical details about Noach, but giving us guidance: to learn from Noach’s limits, not to imitate them. Noach did the best he could in his generation, but for us the lesson is not to stop at “I did my part.” Like Reb Yitzchak emphasizes, we must never give up on anyone; even when a situation seems hopeless, we can, and must, continue to daven and reach out. This teaching carries powerful relevance today. Sometimes we feel we’ve tried everything to inspire others or fix a situation, and we tell ourselves it’s out of our hands. But the Rebbe reminds us: don’t stop praying, don’t stop believing, and don’t stop caring. The very act of staying committed brings divine mercy and opens new channels of blessing. Just as Moshe, a man of emes, wanted us to follow in Aharon’s ways of peace, we can “do Noach a favor” by learning from his story and choosing differently - never giving up on a fellow Jew, always believing in the possibility of change, and bringing closer the time when “no Jew will ever be lost again.”

57. Emor: Highlight Zchusim, Shlomis bas Divri

May 15, 2019

50. Vayikra: Humility & Greatness

Mar 13, 2019

Look at others & seek out their greatness, talent and beauty!" “The basis of chinuch is that all the child’s needs are being met - physical, emotional, spiritual.” “Educating children and influencing others brings you personal redemption." This sicha spoke about "pintele yid chinuch" A comment from when we first discussed it " i was listening to the part abt holding high standards like the kohen even when the child doesn’t understand and doesn’t want that.
