“Why EFRAT?” | My Personal Story - Shaindy Plotzker “Why EFRAT?” | My Personal Story - Shaindy Plotzker

I sat here sharing this story with the most calm look face but inside my hearts was pounding. Because when I think about where I could be and what my life may look like today, if the doctors predictions had come true… I wouldn’t be saying these words, I wouldn’t be doing a concert next month, and I may not be here at all. When I partner with an organization, often theres a story, a reason that pulls me to the cause. “Why did you choose Efrat as the beneficiary of the concert?” This story is why. Because my mother was lucky enough to have everything that she needed to be able to make that choice to bring me into the world. She had financial stability, emotional support, medical resources, and every tool she needed. But there are thousands who don’t have those tools. And that’s where EFRAT comes in. For the thousands of the thousands of women who don’t have what they need to bring their children into their world… For the 86,000+ babies saved by Efrat, and the 1400 more we aim to save in memory of the 1400 we lost on October 7th. For the wives of soldiers in Israel who don’t have what they need for their babies, who are alone as their husbands fight for our land… so that EFRAT can be there for them. For the baby you save that will grow up to be something great, a teacher, a wife, a husband, a soldier, a philanthropist or a photographer… and most importantly a Jewish soul. For the enemies that try to destroy us, for the message we give them: “You aim to take us down, and yet we will rise up and rebuild, stronger than ever. You take Jewish life from us, we will bring Jewish life into the world.” And because I strongly believe that if we are lucky enough to have what we need, the greatest way to thank Gd and to ask him to continue to give us what we need is to give to others who don’t have what we do. You all know that I don’t fundraise often, but today I’m asking you to open your hearts to a cause that means to the world to me, to help the women of EFRAT to be able to bring their children into the world. Please open you hearts and donate at EfratConcert.com - and may Hashem repay you with everything you need and more. Shaindy Plotzker
